N+1 Logger not working

Hello,

I have an issue with an N+1 Logger (the idle one)
Since we did a domain migration this logger is not capable to archive nor to retrieve anything.
the errors i am getting are Error in back-up server for the retrieve
and Cannot appent to media in case of an archiveing.

* I am using the same media casette as before
* I did some tests on the logger and it writes and erase blocks on tape perfectly...so is not actualy a hardware issue...i guess.


Can you point me in the right dirrection:
Is it an SQL issue, hardware or can it be solved from Nice Administrator area.

Hi

Usualy you just need to put in a new tape when you get "can not append to media"

Have you tried to put in a new media ?

Hi,

Yes i tried with several new tapes...and is all the same...it writes 1% then fails so now i have unusable tape (5 years expiration).

I think it might be something like the logger cannot find media data to put on the new tape...it cannot connect to any databases so it cannot append to any media.
