I posted a couple of days ago about what I thought was a CDP problem. Well after I got into the switch I found that they are indeed trying to transfer a call with 7 digits; but the number is constantly busy. Here is a brief explanation.

Two locations, partner companies, in the same town transfer calls to each other. I have one location that I help maintain. They have an Op 61. When a call comes in at the switchboard for the other location the operator transfers it to them using all 7 digits. (we just need 7 here.)

The satellite location recently changed carriers (they were both on AT&T until a few weeks ago.) and now my OP 61 location can not transfer to the main number of the satellite location. Also when you call that number from any DN in the Op 61 you get a busy signal. (normal speed busy, NOT a fast busy)

I checked for SPNs, LCPs, and almost everything I can think of in LD 86, 87, and 90. I can find no digit manipulation or forwarding. (I am only about 70% sure I hit all the forwarding options, I may have missed one.)

I did an ENTC on the number and noticed that it is always going to the same T1. I also did and ENTC on a number 2 digits off from the number to be forwarded and it goes out of the other T1. I made 4 other calls and ENTC showed all of them hitting the second T1 as well. The only number to hit the first T1 was the one they can't dial. That T1 is up.

The differences I can see in the ENTC are after the call is made. After the Called No line the PDCA, PAD, and PCML is displayed. Also the Call State = 19 and RLS RQ

The setup is the same for all the calls, the differences start here.

Example:
---- ISDN PRA CALL (TERM) ----
CALL REF # = 3205
BEARER CAP = VOICE
HLC =
CALL STATE = 1 INIT
CALLING NO = 337981###9 NUM_PLAN:E164 TON:NATIONAL ESN:NPA

TDTN 16 SLOT 4 PTY SLOT 4
DIAL DN 9988###5
MAIN_PM BUSY AUX_PM OVFL
TALKSLOT NONE
QUEU DIAL
CALL ID 0 92

This is the last part of the trace.

---- ISDN PRA CALL (TERM) ----
CALL REF # = 3205
BEARER CAP = VOICE
HLC =
CALL STATE = 19 RLS RQ
CALLING NO = 337981###9 NUM_PLAN:E164 TON:NATIONAL ESN:NPA

PDCA 1 PAD 0 6 PCML MU MU

.13:28:53 03/04/2009
IDLE TN 028 0 05 06

I typed this from a printout, so I only typed what was different.

I need to know if this is a problem with my Op 61 or if it is the carrier. If it is my Op 61, how can I fix this?

Any help is greatly appreciated !!

Thanks !!

The carrier change kinda at least starts pointing to the carrier, have you by-passed your pbx? dial the ACOD of the outgoing route and dial the number normally getting the busy? If you still get a busy, you have removed your pbx from the equation.

If I'm reading right, dmeche said:

The number that doesn't work goes out T1 "A" and a number two digits off goes out T1 "B"

If correct, that points to the "troubled" number being handled differently than any other similar number.

So, we need to find out how that troubled number is being handled and what is different about the RLI.

To determine what is different:

First: Do a LD90 PRT on TYPE ALL. Then look at anything/everything that starts with 988. I think you need to print "everything" because 988 might be an SPN or may be part of "extended" NXXs (longer NXXs)

Thanks for all the help so far!!

I tried LD 90 and could not find anything. I'll try it again tomorrow. Does anyone know how to do a direct trunk select from the attendant console?

Thanks.

You might have tried LD90, but that you didn't find anything is my clue that it isn't where you would have thought. Print it my way and you will find it.

LD 90
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT NET
TRANC AC1
TYPE ALL <--- ALL

As for the console, here's how to use "Barge In" (KEY x BIN)

Loop in, press Barge In, Dial Route Access Code, Dial Member Number, Press #, hear dial tone and dial - you are on the trunk.

Correction: TRANS AC1 (not TRANC AC1)
