I've problems running mysql on a win2000 system. I read in several forums, that a problem might be, that the port 3306 is not open. How can I check this? Thanks a lot...

I have run MySQL on six different computers, but the latest, with a MSI MS6368 motherboard, MySQL simply won't start. I have almost the same config with a Gigabyte board - no problem. I am using Win 2k.
I have tried for hours
Any comments????
