just upgraded to 4.0 and trying to log into mysql.

I got the user and pass but still not able to log in

I get this error when I type in the password: r33CCtgs2?
Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Has anyone been able log in?

Thanks in advance.

some passwords get changed in the upgrade

where are you getting this error and what are you trying to do ?

If its not broke tweak it..

When i did the same upgrade we had to reset the admin password. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling etc. Finally the RAP.exe file saved us (resetadminpassword)

TLDUk -
I'm trying to log in to mysql to pull some data. I didn't have any problems in 3.6 but since the upgrade I am unable to log in.

C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin>mysql.exe -r admin -p
Enter password: **********
ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

instead of admin, I used rccuser as well and same error.

Well here is the full list of the ones i know i think root still works on V4.0 rcc server

webhost
r338cm3.6!

rccuser
r33CCtgs2?

root
'YR46L43!'

RCC2
r33CCtgs2?

If its not broke tweak it..

Thanks TLDuk but none of the user / pass combination worked for me.

Johnthephoneguy, Thanks for your post. Unfortunately, we're not able to take down the BCM as it's in use everyday for the holiday rush.

If there's anyone who's having similar issues as me, I'd appreciate some guidance.

Thanks.

are you sure

root
'YR46L43!'

works for me are you typing it exactly as above ?

If its not broke tweak it..

Alright I got in. The problem was I had to specify the port in my argument.

By the way, that root pass didn't take, I used rccuser pass and it worked!!!

Thanks for all of your help.

yeah they keep changing them...

press the link under my post that says Thank TLDuk
