Hi,

Our nightly backups are approaching capacity and I've noticed that the mysql.err file is rather large. Can this be excluded from the backups? Would it have an effect on recovery, if a disaster occurred and the mySQL databases needed recovered from backup?

Thanks.

MySQL does not need it. It contains server errors. You might take a look at it.

Thank you for the fast reply. So, this is something that does not need backed up?
