Hi all,

I've setup dreamweaver MX on two computers (both win2k), one has PHP + mysql and a webserver installed. The one with the webserver works fine with dreamweaver, you can test php pages, access databases etc.
However, on the other pc that only has DW installed - you define the site, and set it all up correctly, but it refuses to make a connection to the mysql database on the other pc, it's very strange.

When selecting "+" and then "MySQL Connection" Under the databases menu, and putting all the required info in (ip, username, password) and pressing select database button, it gives the error:

1) There is no testing server running on the server machine
2) The testing server specified for the site does not map to the (some long url). Verify that the URL prefix maps to the root of the site

This doesnt really make any sense because the testing server has been setup correctly, and I'm totally lost. Can anyone help?

Thanks

just remembered - ive tested the connection from the client pc to the one with the webserver & sql server, and there are no problems. Appears to be dreamweaver related.

ack.. it was zonealarm blocking the connection

sorry guys
