Mydoom.h in my email. Urgent Help 2

My e-mail (outlook express v6) infected with w32/Mydoom.h@MM and my operating system is windows 98. I got virusscan v4.5.1 and can't remove this virus mydoom.h@MM. Do anyone know how to remove this virus for windows 98 only and give me a clear instruction?

and download the specified removal tool, then run it on your computer.

Thanks, But I don't have Norton Antivirus software in my machine.

You do not need to have that software, the removal tool can run seperately to scan your computer.

Is this the right address shown above for removal tool? The removal instructions from the symantec website, do I start step 3 to 6 because I am using Windows 98?

After you're clean, be sure to get an updated virus scanner otherwise, you'll be in this situation again before long.

After a serious virus like:

1. remove the virus

2. Change you virus scanner (Norton is King)

3. Perform all windows updates

4. Scan The entire system.

5. Evaluate you system secuity. If your are a home user that you need to look at some kind of personal firewall product. If you on a network talk to ytou Administrator about you network Security.
