My sub reports detest me

THis is personal, I just want those pesky sub reports to step into line, and they don't want to,,,,,

If a sub report contains no data, how can I get it to disappear without taking any space.......as if it were never there....?

Perhaps you can use the "On No Data" Event to exit? Long Live Motor

Doesn't eat up the space.........I am afraid....

On the upper left corner of the sub report, right click and check the properties. It should say subform/subreport yourname. There are shrink and grow properties, try setting these to yes. Make sure you are on the correct spot since it is hard to get hold of.
