My problem is regarding JVC compatablility with Firewire cards.
I use a JVC DVX4 and am going round the bend trying to get it to work in Windows XP.
My card a SiteCom 3 port firewire and it is recognised in Device Manager but the camera is not.
JVC say a driver is not needed as it is already in windows XP.
The card manufacturer says the same.
Please anyone Help.

Do you see a device unrecognized in the Device Manager? it should be a yellow symbol next to it, If so you might need to install it manually.

There is no yellow question marks in Device Manager.
I have been informed that my camera should be listed under
Imaging Devices but there is no Imaging Devices.
I also looked under Sound and Video Controllers it is not listed there either.
