I created an image in photoshop with no background (transparent). But when I place it in an InDesign document, it comes up with a white background.

Can anyone tell me why that is or how to fix it?

I have a background image for the whole document, so I can't have white space sitting over top of it.

thanks.

What format did you save in? If jpeg - no transparent backgrouns.

Save as psd or tiff. If tiff, make sure to check the save transparancy button in the second save window.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
