Hi, My workstation is restarting automatically when I try to run any .exe file.
After I log on I receive the following error message:

Date: "date"
Time: "time"
Type: Error
User: N/A
Computer: MyComputer
Source: System Error
Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Description:
Error code 1000007f, parameter1 00000008, parameter2 80042000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000.

My workstation has Windows XP SP2.
This problem started after I installed the Symantec Antivirus. The version is:
Program: 10.0.1.1000
Scan Engine: 51.1.0.15

If I de-install NAV the problem goes away.

Do you know why or what in the NAV is causing this problem.

I will appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Jose.

I disagree. Do you happen to run a multitude of anti-spyware programs and perhaps another AV product on the same machine? If you run to many kernel based drivers on the same system, it will simply run out! There is a very limited amount of kernel stack space available

Make sure you also check for the following event in your logs (in safe mode probably):

You may see the following message in the Event Log: "Event ID: 1005. Source: SAVRT: Symantec AntiVirus Auto-Protect could not scan file <path><filename> for viruses due to low kernel stack."
