My new mobo 4

Ok guys I have a new RUNNING mobo, I started it up and in the setup I just chose the "fail-safe settings" option

For some reason or another, it will not boot up into XP home like I have...Im just kinda in the dark on this part maybe someone can throw out something to help me?? Thanks in advance fellas!!!!

Did you lie on your CV to get the job? lol only joking dodge8604. Sounds like you are getting closer to a solution, but its going through trials and tribulations such as these that give people the experience to help others.
Just don't forget the stars to show your appreciation, you have had a LOT of mileage of out paparazi.
Also be sure to post when you have got it sorted and how you finally got there, it will help others who may have a similar problem.

Well I guess I'll give you guys the low down on my system then.....

Gigabyte GA-8S661FXM-775
Pentium 4 3.6Ghz w/ HT
BFG nVidia 6800GT
Seagate 7200rpm 200GB
Antec 480W PSU

It all seems to be hooked up right, although sometimes it recognizes my HD and goes further into setup and sometimes it doesn't....

So if it recognises your hard drive and goes into setup!This sounds like you have another problem, maybe a bad stick of memory, dodgey hard drive.
Swap out your memory and try again.

Well, Im gonna take it with me to my NEW JOB at Microcenter! So my career in computer tech. begins now! YAY! It would be real awesome if I got a job and my computer fixed all in one week! What a great christmas this has been, I wish everyone on here a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
