Here is my first post so I’ll give a tip
There are many forum threads about using Director and DVDs so here is my tip

To make low rent Hybrid multimedia/DVD without an expensive authoring system here is what you can do.

To get DVD video into (controlled by) Director, the first step is to burn your DVD first onto a DVD RW, most DVD software (I’m using Ulead DVD studio 2) has an option to make a copy of the DVD folders onto your hard drive; do that also.
With your DVD in your DVD rom drive create the director movies and or projectors and cast to the same folders that your DVD folders have been saved in.
So what you have is a DVD disk and copy of the disk (on the had drive) plus all you the stuff that is your director multimedia. Add a auto start if you want

Copy the contents of this folder back to the DVD RW and you have a DVD hybrid

Thanks for the tip. Nice way to get started here. :)

Cheers~Frank
