My Desktop does not log-off

My Desktop does not log-off, it keep turning on untill I switch it off the main Power button.

I have old AMD CPU on a ASUS motherboard. I have at least formatted my hard drive three times and started all over but this problem never stop coming back.


Any advise to fix this one will be greatly apreciated.

It does not shut-off.

Out of the box xp install will restart when it encounters an error (BSOD), you will need to change this behavior so that we can get at the bottom of this BSOD...

I am suspecting a failing hardware item...

Greg, from this statement:

which is the normal behavior when XP hits a BSOD at shutdown...
