I had asked this before and I am asking again because it doesn't make any sense and I need serious help.

My Report is based on view I had created in SQL Server.
I am connecting to CR9 using ODBC and from there it is pretty simple.
_____________________________
Rep Name Group (Supressed)
_____________________________
ID# Group (Supressed)

Details are containing all the data with fields like:

RepName ID# CoName TrialDate

Group1 Footer Totals for {Rep Name}:(DistinctCount of field)
Report Footer Grand Totals

After Report were created I can run and see all of the data pretty perfect.
I am closing the Report.
Opening and running again.
What I see is mind blowing...

My Groups have changed the names to a fields like
CoName and TrialDate
and
Group1 Footer Totals for {Rep Name}:
became
Group1 Footer Totals for {CoName}:

HOW is this possible and WHY?

I had had the same problem a while ago, I had to re-create Report from scratch and now I just did and it is back to it's crazinest again.

Data fields in Details gets shifted randomly from the beginning to the center and center to the end...

Please, help.

Hi
Try saving your report first then close it and close crystal report app
then reopen it and see
sometime crystal does not refresh the changes made on a report and will run older version
try and see
PS clear your temp folder on your local drive to remove old crw temp file before opening crystal again

Durango122
if it moves and should not used Duck Tape
if does not move and should used WD-40

The thing is that Crystal makes its own changes.
Like when it does change
Group1 Footer Totals for {Rep Name}:
to
Group1 Footer Totals for {CoName}:

there was never Group1 Footer Totals for {CoName}:

From the beginning it was always
Group1 Footer Totals for {Rep Name}:

So there is NOT so ever an older version where Crystal could be taking from. All changes that are happening are random and non logical.

Thanks

I figured this out.
Here Group1 Footer Totals for {Rep Name}:
instead of {Rep Name}:
I should had created formula GroupName ({RepName})
and use it like this:
Totals for {@Rep Name}:

Thanks
