both dvd and cd players load correctly but i get adevice isnt ready message when i tried to load from dos -command.com it says no drivers for cd---is there a place to get a windows 98 start up floppy?---any help is ggreatly appreciated
Do you have any install disks for the CD players? They are loaded from DOS to allow the CD's to work. You need these to get started and then when you install 98 it disables them!

Basically;
In case you didn't understand what to do with those links info;
If you find and copy Oakcdrom.sys and Mscdex.exe to C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND
Also make sure Himem.sys and Emm386.exe are in your Windows folder.
and then Edit Config.sys to look like this; DOS=HIGH,UMB
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\OAKCDROM.SYS /D:CD1
and Autoexec.bat to look like this; PROMPT $P$G
@ECHO OFF
PATH C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\;
SET SNDSCAPE=C:\WINDOWS (<-- optional)
SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T2 (<--optional)
LOADHIGH C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\MSCDEX.EXE /D:CD1
