My browser shows 'DNS error' at the bottom and is blank

I have SBC DSL, my browser is showing a blank web-page with unable to access server at the top and DNS error Server not available at the bottom. However, I can access the web sometimes but it takes the browser longer than usual to find a proxy...then it connects and disconnects after about 20 minutes or so...Help!!!!

Try this:

Go to Start, Run, type: regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
Run, wait for confirmation. Any luck?

Registering a .dll. Not a guarantee, but works in a lot of situations. Painless, harmless...

Howdy:

The fix given to you is one when the new window opens, but opens completely blank.. There is no error message associated with it..

For your problem, try the following..
