My backup doesn't proceed

I backup a windows 2000 server with Arcserve V9 with rotation ( complete 5 days).
The job start normally, format the tape and "stop" without any error message.Even if the tape is a blank tape.

Did someone have this problem ?

Please help, my Computer Associates support doesn't know this problem.
 
Is this with "all" backups?
Make sure it has the current updates installed.
Get a tape log, that will show what's going on at the Tape Engine end.
 
I noticed this problem happen when sms 2003 client is installed on backup server.

 
Hi there,

I have seen this problem with arcserve 2000, you could try reboooting the system and recreating the job.
 
The computer Associates support tell me : delete the job, initialize the full database, create a new pool with a different name and create the job.

This solve my problem but some times after, it returns.

Sorry, i forgot this :

The Brightstor software is up to date.
In the tape , there is nothing about this.
There is no SMS client in my server, just a Lotus Domino server.
obviously, i use a Lotus notes client.
