I have a sales engineer quoting a new EX controller to replace the MXE controller they have now. He is saying that we can Backup the MXE and restore on to the new EX controller. Has anyone tried this? Nice if this would work.

Thanks

As long as you've removed ALL of the incompatible programming from the system prior to getting a backup you can use the new Migration tool to Migrate the DB

You should read the docs thoroughly for what is Mandatory Changes and Optional. If you a Mandatory change before your backup, you will need to get a new one

you need to use the migration tool and instructions

its similar to phyical- virtual in that some data must be removed first
definitely not loading a mxe backup straight in

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
