MXe 3300 access via WAN Port

We have set up the Wan port on the MXe and all appears to be OK, however we need to administer the 3300 via this if possible ? Has anyone achieved this yet, I have tried setting the port forwarding for HTTP & HTTPS to the 3300 IP address but still no luck, the manual & help seems to be a bit lacking at present !

try a PPTP connection. It's working fine at some of my clients. Fill in the username, password virtuel address and disable PPTP passtrough. Make a default windows PPTP connection and you can browse to your 3300
