We have an already existing GroupWise system that works great sending/receiving mail internally/externally.
In DNS, for GroupWise, we are using (for example) mycompany.org as a forward lookup zone and the MX records already in place for GroupWise.
Now there is a sub folder under mycompany.org named "apps" (for google apps that we're deploying).
Inside the Apps folder, MX records are setup and anyone externally can send emails to our @apps.mycompany.org email addresses, and our @mycompany.org is still working fine.
Google verified our apps.mycompany.org MX records and our internal DNS guy said they are just fine.
Problem:
* Anyone sending from our internal GroupWise (@mycompany.org) is unable to send to @apps.mycompany.org, and we are not getting bounce backs of any kind (not a spam issue either, internally or on google's postini).
But anyone can email either account from outside the company.
Our DNS server is internal and I can do whatever I need to it. There is also an external DNS we manage (that's in our data center) and it's was verified through Google that's its MX looks good, however Google doesn't care about our mycompany.org MX, just the apps.mycompany.org records.
Is there anything simple that I may be missing?
