HI Guys,

Did anyone come across a problem where time is drifting on all lims except lim1?

Time set up :
Lim1 synchs form NTP(which is fine) all other lims point to lim1, they are out.
Cheers!
Saf.

How far off are the other clocks?

There is a sanity check in NTP which will not sync clocks more than 1000 seconds out.
Force the clock to sync with -
[tt]
/etc/init.d/ntp stop
ntpd -gq
/etc/init.d/ntp start
[/tt]

himdp,
Sorry for the delay in responding.
Thanks very much for the suggestion. Unfortunately i had no luck with this and still have problems with other lims time.
I tried this since your suggestion...

• In YAST, removed Lim1’s IP address from the NTP config (on lim2)
• Set the time manually using the ‘date’ command.
• Re-configure the IP address of lim1 in lim YAST – NTP config.
• Stop Ntp daemon and re-synch then start NTP.

Didnt work either. Other Lims remain out by a few mins.
Any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Saf.
