Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you can use the MX-One as a DHCP server? I am assuming you can, via the YaST interface maybe?

If this is the case, could someone advise on how to do this?

Many thanks in advance!
Ben

Hi Belsden,

Yes its possible, but i think Not supported.

You can use the Linux DHCP Daemon to configure a DHCP server. You can configure the Server with the /etc/dhcpd.conf file.

For more information consult the Internet to configure a DHCP Server on suse.

Regards

Hi, as LIDAP says, it is possible but not supported. The Linux operating system is, as we all know, capable of performing many useful tasks however Ericsson/Aastra/Mitel use it to power their communications platform and do not like to spend time validating the operation of features not essential in the support of their own application.

The reality is that you use unsupported features at your own risk and if you ever need to call for support they will require you to switch off all unsupported features before they will look into your issues.
