How will MX-One 3.1 support old voice mail systems with serial connectations? will those have to be phased out? what board or equipment will be used?

To MD or not to MD that is the question

Hello,
You will have to install a Classic LIM to allow you to connect traditional equipment.

May be you can use a serial to IP converter ( Cheaply available ) for voice mail's signalling information..

Connectivity between VM & MX can still be on EL6 or EL7 ports without any compromises...

Cheers,

Hi singhbrindisi,
May be you are right. I had purchased an Perle SDS1 IP to RS232 converter.And had setup using

ICFUI:IFCIND=1,LIM=1,RPORT=3000,IP=172.18.0.251,DFMT=4,FILLER=48,UPDFCN=YES;

symptom : MX send data to VM ok, but VM send data to MX-No Good,My vendor is able to show me , The data is did send out from the VM to MX and he is asking is Ericsson MX is listening to port 3000 , when VM send the data out to MX.

Any idea , is MX 3.1 is able to listen to port 3000 when VM send the data out, is the port block by any firewall??
