MX embedded ASU problems

Hi, I have a 3300 MX controller running 5.2.4.4
All the trunks on the embedded ASU are in a releasing state. I have disconnected all the trunks (Telco) from the system, tried busy and return to service but this didn't work.

I am about to do a reboot on the controller. I am just concerned that it happens again and I would have to tell the client that I need to reboot the system again. Any ideas as to why this would happen.

PS: I have a peripheral cab with a LS\GS card. These trunks are fine...

My eqperience with these has been that the embedded trunks seem to be kinda fragile and get toasted easily with transient voltages that otherwise wouldn't faze a regular LS/GS trunk or OPS line in a per. can. If you want to use any of the embedded ASU resources (and I can't think of a reason not to) I would urge you to invest in some good transient protection, i.e., gas-discharge tubes and proper grounding! Hooking outside lines to that expensive controller is a little like painting a target on it and daring THOR's HAMMER to find it.
