MWI - on the dialog 3105mw

People !

Bit of a brain teaser this one .......

I'm having a bit of trouble getting the message light to work on the dialog 3105(mw)

My understanding is .. When the extension has a message the light comes on ??? Simple.....right ?

All I can seem to get is a broken dial tone and the light still stays out.
As I'm using a 3rd party voicemail system is this the problem .. Does the light only light up with the Ericsson voicemail system .....

can anybody put any "light" on the subject ?

I think this light will work only if you have polarity reversal. That is if tel set is connected to elu30. Check Icat parameter.

if it still doesnt work with the polarity reversal turned on in the ICAT change the a and b wire on the phone outlet. then it should work
