Here's an odd onefor the last few days my 3904 set has a message waitng light on but no messages? Something must be happening on the midnight ru to cause this maybe? But what? As far as I know it's only my own set and not anyone elses (or the compalints haven't come in yet?) We have an 81 with Call Pilot VM. ideas.......?

do an advanced search in Call Pilot. In the first search criteria field choose MWI DN, and in the DN put your phone number. See if by accident there is another mailbox with your extension as the MWI dn.

Yeah I forgot to mention I have it pinted to 2 phones (the other one does not have VM) so I can get notices in the 2 places I hang out the most. It's been working fine until recently....

OK - it's happened again this AM and in CP it shows no messages, my phne shows no callers either, so it's got to be something in the switch that is running the midnight routine.....if I call into VM it goes out immediately when I enter my PW, so maybe it's somehow related to the synch to CP and the switch, Could the time change have had something to do with it...? I would think everybody would have the issue if that were the case. Maybe I'll leave a message and delete tht out then see if it happens again on monday.....wierd huh!

Yes, but did you do what janaya suggested?
And while you're at it do the advanced search for MWI DN on any other DNs that might appear on your phone.

This is just what I was looking for. I found a DN that was using the MWI on a different extension. The mailbox just happened to have a new message. Once I deleted that mailbox (it was unused), the problem went away. Thanks Janaya!

It is probably a rogue DN using the DN of a different user. Check if there are any unread messages in the mailbox.

If you do not have an extereme amount of mailboxes, list them all, do an advances export to an Excel file and sort them by the MWI DN. Look for duplicates.

yep - you guys are right! There was another number built on this phone I forgot (Stupid shift key!)I had on it for testing purposes months ago! LOL Thanks - it's the simple things that kick your booty sometimes!
