Hello,

I have a Voice Mail configured on a 5550 IP console but the problem is that we don't have a led button like on Mitel IP set to visualize the VM status on the console keypad.

Is there anyway to get a MWI on a 5550 IP console or another way to inform me that I have received a message?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can use the dialed message notification to call the console when a message is left or you can turn on the light of a nearby set.

Thanks kwbMitel for your answer.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure to understand what you mean exactly by "You can use the dialed message notification to call the console when a message is left"...

Playing off of kbwMitel's suggestion:
You could create an analog extension, connect it to a message waiting light that you'd buy specifically for it and place the light by the console. The VM then lights this light.

It's been a while since I've done that and even then I did it on a NuPoint. Not sure about the embedded.

In the mailbox configuration for the console mailbox there is a notification section.

Type in the number to call and schedule it to occur.

The number dialed can be an internal number (prime of the console?)

OK thanks kwbMitel for your proposition. I'll investigate that.
On other side, I've received a feedback from Mitel support and seems to need to create a DCR for direct implementation on console.
Thanks

I won't hold my breath. DCR's, although simple in concept, is very complicated to justify.

In short the amount of time and money spent on getting a certain feature introduced must not exceed the returns, in other words more sales.

I guess it's easier if they are aware of a whole bunch of people that need/want it
