MWI not on when having new messages

Hello i am new to the nortel switch and havent had my training yet so bear with me. I have a meridian1 61c switch with serveral analog and digital phones running. However one digital phone I have gets new calls and messages and the indicater light does not light, it does light when rnging. The phones have been flashed with upgrade, and replaced and same problem what can i do? and what ld or lds do i need to look at? thank you for your time keith
 
Check the CLS of the phone in LD 11 and see if the cls has MWA and LPA.
 
mutcit8 can you post a print out of one of your
callpilot agents port so we can look at the programming?

fortunatly the cls was compared with another phone that is working right, they both have mwa applied however there is no lpa on either but there is a lpr and a lna applied. any other ideas.
 
mutcit8...what type of callpilot are you using and
post one of the agents tnb on the callpilot.

i believe it is an octell and i dont know how to talk to it yet. if there is nothing i can do on the pbx then it can wait till my counter part comes back, this is not life or death and i appreciate everthing and anything youhave suggested.

Octel is a non-Nortel voicemail system.

If you have MWA on the phoneset CLS, then there is nothing left on the phoneset to test (as you have already indicated you know that the lamp is functional if not working as intended.)
 
I know ZIP about Octels. Try running a message light audit to see if that corrects the issue.
 
I was able to rectify the issue,however I had to take the entire voicemail system down and reboot it. I do appreciate all posts. And I cant run a light audit because it doesnt work with digital phones from my understanding.
