This is probably a dumb question but its monday and I aint thinking yet. We have a Company voicemail box as a phantom on Ext. 7759. I want a Message waiting light to light up on someones phone so they know there is new company voicemail... Whats the easiest or best way to set this up?

Thanks

change the mwi dn in the mail to match a phone without mail. or add rmwk 7759 key or scn 7759 and a xmwk to a set

I think you lost me...

Testing with my Ext. 5880 and a new ext with no mail on 7766. I tried changing the MWI for my ext. to 7766 and it wont let me.

Warning: Prime DN and MWI DN are different. Enter the same key to proceed.

I never heard of the rmwk or xmwk...

Enter the ext you want to light up as an ext dn in the voice mail box and it should work.

That message is just a warning. You can proceed without issue, the MerMail just wants you to know it recognizes the two as different.

RMWK = Remote Message Waiting Key

XMWK = Extended Message Waiting Key

You would build these on your 7766 phone (one or the other) and it will flash and light the lamp on your phone. This is helpful if you have a mailbox for 7766 and 5880. The XMWI shows there is a message for 7766 vs. 5880.

Hope this helps,

Thanks everyone.

I tried the rmwk and xmwk they didnt seem to work so I just went into the company voicemail box and added a operators Ext as the MWI DN.

As the others have mentioed, the XMWK key may prove best in time. To get it to work, just try adding an appearance of the Ext/DN you need to light...the phone that has the XMWK key needs an appearance of the line it needs to light..

You can even go so far as setting AOM = 1 and LEY16 = the DN you are using on the XMWK button.. (this applies to a 2616 set)

I did manage to figure out the rmwk and put it on the 3904 phone they wanted it on. I was doing it wrong but trial and error figured it out.

Whats the AOM and LEY16 do?
I was thinking of adding indicators on the helpdesk phones (2616) cause right now they randomly just check for new vmails on like 3 different boxes.

Thanks

I meand KEY 16, but it does not apply to a 3904. The AOM value means number of Add On Modules.

My point was you can add the DN outside of the normal range of KEYs - on hardware that does not exist.

3904 key 16 mwk 3301 in may case makes the default msg key work as a hotdial to my voice mail.. i added a aom to a 3904 and used xmwk keys on that module to light the overhead lamp.. the aom with scn 1234 and xmwk 3301 1234 lights the overhead for a user that needs a lamp but doesn't need the line and does not have a mailbox for there dn.. this was for a dept that wanted all the helpdesk members to know when they had a dept mail

Are there any log files in SCCS 4.2 providing log in information on Supervisors and Managers who log in with the client?
A call centre manager wishes to know if a particular supervisor logged in to SCCS at a particular time. Is there any information from the SCCS server that can help?

Thanks

Sorry, the post above was sent to the wrong place.
