mwi for remote ip phone for end user

we have a setup where 1 user has 2 phones - 1 in the main site with the IPO ( 4.0 ) ( Digital x5002 ) and one IP Phone used behind a VPN connction at home (IP Phone x6002 ) with BA lines of 5002 assigned to appear and ring on the phone ( works fine )

Options :

* we could use Phone Manager Pro and have them login as
primary x5002 - this would show any messages in thier
mailbox via the message tab and they could just login
to the voicemailpro but I would assume you could not
click the message indicator in PMP as it would try to
use the lines of 5002 on the actual extension 5002 and
not the BA lines on 6002 of 5002

* would a hunt group and source number Hxxxxxx be an
option ?

* another thought would be install a IP Phone at the main
site ( x5002 )and they could login and out of x5002 as
they can not be in 2 places at once .....

just never bumped into this one before ....

Your number 2 or 3 would work best. You can not light the light for 1 mailbox on 2 extensions unless it is a hunt group

You answered your own question.
All of the options you listed are valid. Another option might be to simply have the voicemail forward to email.

I would say it is time to present the options to the customer and let them decide what would work best for them.

My personal preference would be the Phone Manager option.

assign a login code to the primary extn and use *35 login at home.

No need for any other fancy programming. It's what hotdesking is for.

Or complecate and confuse things and spend some money in the proccess: Get 4.2 when it is GA and Mobile client and twin with that. Top it of with Unified Messaging and you got the lot!!!
