Has anyone had any experience with hooking a Muzak Encompass MV2 into a TN793 or other Analog Port? My customer is switching from a Telink 700 to Muzak as they want a better music selection. The problem I am encountering is when I switch from the Telink 700 to the Muzak Encompass MV2, no music is heard when connected to the MV2 device. If I switch it back to the Telink I can hear music just fine. We are connected using a custom cable coupling a RCA end to a RJ 11 cable that goes to our patch panel. From the patch panel to the TN793 is amphenol.
It appears that the Muzak Encompass MV2 is 2V 1k Ohm is this voltage too low? Any suggestions on an amplifier or adapter that would work with this?

Justin, the Telink output should be 600Ohm, the MV2 output is Line Level, 2V rms @ >1K and should certainly be providing audio output to the phone switch without the need for an additional amplifier. A 1 watt amp is often used, however, for attenuation purposes, although there is a volume control built into the MV2 thru the Menu options.

It is likely the MV2 lost it's programming if it has been disconnected from the Network for over 4 weeks, as it stores a 4 week linear playlist. Does the display screen show Artist and Song Title? If not, it will read "No Music Scheduled" and need to be re-connected to an active network, assuming it is registered with Muzak.

The MV2 is playing music and I have confirmed it plugging into a external receiver and amplifier with speakers. I would tend to agree that it should work when plugged into an Aux board but this being into a Analog Port the power requirements are slightly different.
