I have an older 4510 acting as my core switch and a new 4510 in a new IDF.
The older 4510 is out of 10G ports, What I would like to do is mux 2 Gig ports together so I can have at list 2G uplink. I've never actually muxed trunk ports together. Any thoughts/ commands on how I can accomplish this?

Create a port aggregation (also called EtherChannel, Port-Channel, and Channel-Group among others).

For example
[tt]int range gi6/1, gi7/1
channel-group 12 mode active
!
int po12
switch mode trunk
[/tt]
The # 12 indicates a relationship between the ports to be aggregated and the resulting PortChannel interface. Mode active enables LACP which provides protection from connection or configuration errors. Commands issued to the PortChannel interface will be inherited to the member ports (for the most part).

Good Luck!
