hello all,

any ideas on this....IPO 500 V2 with 8.0 (53) software and SIP trunks.

when they dial in to a conference bridge and then mute the call out, it disconnects after two minutes. the sip host tells me there is a 2 minute timer on IPExchange that will end a RTP session if it appears to be quiet.

I've checked the obvious (rtp keepalives, periodic timeout less than 120 secs, re-invite supported checked, PRACK/100rel supported checked) but calls still drop when on mute.

could this be their firewall, or should I keep looking at the IPO?

thanks in advance,
cupov

If you set the RTP keepalives option to be 119 seconds or less, have you associated the SIP line with the network topology information so that it follows this?

Line -> SIP Line -> Transport Tab -> Use Network Topology Info* -> Select LAN1 or LAN2 from drop down (depending on interface used).
*If you have Use Network Topology Info set to none it won't use the RTP keepalives setting you configured.
