IPS 2000 using Legacy Dterm Series E TDM phones. One of the soft keys is "Mute". When I press it in the middle of the converstation, my handet gets muted, but on the screen of the phone, the word "mute" won't flash... So I don't know if I'm in Mute mode or not.

This is a new system being set up, and somebody discovered this very valid problem. Anybody knows how to fix it?

I've never seen "Mute" flash on a dterm.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen mute... are you talking about the MIC soft key?

You would tell by the MIC light going out. I've never seen it displayed on the screen.....

Just my 2¢

I don't think the 2000 flashes at all. I know the 2400 flashes when the mute is enabled, but I dont think there is any way to have the softkeys flash when enabled on the 2000; hopefully someone will know a trick to turn them on because it has bit me once or twice troubleshooting.

You can talk about us, but you can't talk without us.

Jhenke is correct the softkey will not flash. For a visual indication assign a Mute key to a Line Key in CM 90 assignement data is F5013.

Thank you guys,
I think I'll do just that. Assign this feature to a line-key.
