Hi guys

I was recently trying to access 9608 phones to get the IP address. Of the phone.
Some of them were not on the correct vlan..

Now these phones are only at the login stage and have not registered yet.

Normally I would use SSA or monitor H323 status to see the IP address for the registered phones.

So I tried mute craft# to access the menu.

This is ok when the phone is logged in with an extension number and works.

If you are waiting at the extn, password stage the mute craft # does not always work.
It works on some phones but not all off them.
It seemed to be hit or miss.

So how do I see the IP address assigned to a phone that's not logged in yet..

I did use angry ip scanner on the vlan range to see pinged IP address .

Can some tell me how to see the addresses of non registered phones connected to the vlan using ipo

Many thanks..

It's mute craft <command> # , for example mute craft view #

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Sorry miss type by me I know it's mute craft #

I have amended my post

Any help with the question though
Thanks

And as said mute craft view#

If its not working on some phones what do they show when you try?

They don't allow you to get to the menu.

When you press mute button normally the next few presses on the phone keypad are silent then you access the menu.

On the ones that don't allow you access to the menu when you press mute the next press of the key pad the beeps are heard preventing you from getting to the menu.

But basically what I want us to find the IP address of the phone some other way if possible..

Once I have registered the phone the menu facility works perfectly.

Use monitor h323 status in views.
Use system status> extensions

I hate some forms of propagation.

Yes SSA or h323 is fine as long as the phone is registered and logged in.

It's the phones that are at the login stage is my problem.

SSA does not show these phones IP addresses .
They appear as 0.0.0.0 until you actually log in.
Only then does the IP address appear

I was just wondering is there another way to fine these addresses.

It was the IT people asking me what addresses were assigned to all the phones
I could only see the phones that were registered .

If it's not possible then that's ok.

Thanks for the help.

It's the IT that could tell you, the DHCP server will tell you straight away. Avaya MACs are easy to spot once you know the prefix(s) :)

A lot of IT people I encounter are lazy as heck and they try to make you do their work while they watch YouTube.
They can find the addressing in their server if they are smart enough to know but some don't know our really don't care.
I met some amazing IT guys in my years but have to say that 75% of them should do something else.
My trade school teacher suggested becoming a baker to some guys so that they can at least eat what they screw up. No never to me :)

That counts for all jobs actually, look at the different forums here....
It is not difficult to see who belongs to the 25%....
