My company wantsto use PDF's To sent reports to a large number of users worldwide but someone told a project manager that you could only print PDF's with a postscript printer. I don't believe that this is true but can't find and written docs confirming this. Am I correct in this??

You're correct. You don't need a postscript printer to print pdfs.

Hi John
Do you know the answer to my question?
Can you edit text in a PDF or is it only possible if you have Distiller?

I am getting desperate!

How do you enable a PDF document to allow text editing?
I have a QuarkXPress document I've created and saved as a PDF using Distiller. On my Mac I can edit the text. On my PC I can't. How do I allow this privilege???
Could it be a Mac thing and not available on a PC?
I've tried 'saving as' and making the security set up allow editing. Works on the Mac. But the SAME document on a PC says security doesn't allow editing.
Thanks for your help

Well, I'm not by any means an Acrobat expert, but I'll tell you what little I know. You cannot edit a pdf file using the free Acrobat Reader. To do this you'll need the full version of Acrobat. I guess you can edit your on a Mac because you have Acrobat (which includes the Distiller) installed.
The Adobe site has lots of info and their forums are very good and active.
