I've determined that the quality of the direct thermal label stock that my company buys is not very good. I'm wondering if somebody can tell me what to look for when I'm trying to find better label stock. Are there specific elements, like shine or temperature response or paper versus some other material, etc.?

There are a lot of types
If you want durability you may wan to go to Thermal transfer instead of direct thermal

My company is steadfast about using direct thermal. Scannability is the main issue. Thanks though.

Thanks chaosinc. Zebra was actually the first place I tried, and their labels way more expensive than our current labels. I'd try 'em, but my company will never pay that much.
