What do I need to be able to play music over our telephone handsets, overhead paging speakers and while callers are on hold?

Help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

you need a music source, (radio, cd player, mp3 player etc.), with an audio out jack. then you punch down the other end onthe distribution block for you phone system (refer to installer guide). then go into programming and enable MOH, and background music.

Thats it? I dont need an amp or anything?
I guess I will need an amp for the overhead paging though right, or will the music source play right through the paging fucntion of the phone system?

For the overhead speakers, an amp is probably needed. Some amps have the ability to have a background music channel while they are not being used for paging. Do you have an amp already or one in mind?

It depends on what type of external paging you have. You could need a AMP with Music interfaces or a Page Control Interface device. IS it a 70 volt paging sytem?
or A 24 volt paging system?

Good Luck!!

For Background music, I find that MusicChoice or equivalent works awesome. Music Choice is a group of channels with non-stop music programming, recd. with a cable box or satellite.
