Hi all!

Can I have external MOH on TSU-T (or TMU) on LIM1 (foe example) and internal tone on hold for LIM2, 3 and so on...?

I think no, but someone says yes... [neutral]
and I ask how :)

Thanks

each lim can have its own tmu which can be used for moh, therefore each lim can have its own music source, but generally the music source is daisy chained across from lim to lim. you must be take care for different customers music sources as if a digital route is shared it will take the music source in the lim that the tlu resides.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

To RFBOI: yes, I confirm you that a trunk takes the moh source from the lim where the TLU resides.

By the way my question was quite different: can I have a system in which a LIM has external MOH and the other LIMs have internal generated tone?

Thanks

I would be interested to know if you can even get the "internal tones" to work. As an ex Ericsson engineer we ended up spending a whole wodge of cash on an external system to provide the "beeps" externally to a customer who specifically requested it on purchase... It even went back to Ericsson in Sweden who said it didn't work in the UK...

HOURS OF FIDDLING.. %-(

System was BC8 or 9 - UK Market
