Hi all

we have problem with music on hold within Option11c Rls 4.5, so it was working for two years before and now it is stopped and disabled...we have try to change the unit and analog trunk card also, but with the same issue, always we got ERR4079 errors...

there is no problem with music box..

please is there any suggestion to resolve this..?

many thanks

best regards

What is the part # of the card? It should be an NT8D14. Is that what you have? Also make sure you can hear the musid with a test set connected to the TN.

thanks KCFLHRC for your reply, the part of the card is NTCK16BE

I have already maked a test with set connected to the music and we can hear it...but when we call the route music through acod or make a call on hold we hear only silence..!!

NTCK16BE is a Digital Line card
Music needs to connect to a Universal Trunk card NT8D14 as KCFLHRC mentioned

Route would be programed that you can print in LD 21 and you mentioned you are dialing an ACOD so sounds like there is a route.

in LD 21 do an LTM -this will show TN for Music
Print TNB of that TN and send to us.

Error info:
ERR4079 tn
The hardware ID (type of unit (COT, DID, etc.) and signaling (LOP,GRD,EAM, etc.) is not supported by the card (XUT, XEM, or any other IPE trunk card). The software configuration no longer matches the hardware configuration for the unit. Unit is disabled.
Check that correct card for desired trunks is in configured slot. Check configuration of unit.
Severity: Minor

I have never even heard of that card in my 20 years working on Nortel PBX's. We always use the NT8D14 Universal trunk card. Has this ever worked?

thanks Reusser for your reply, but Im not agree with you about NTCK16BE so it is analog trunk card and there are already analog cot connected to this card.

It was working before, please see the printout of my rdb music;

You also need a conference looped assigned to the music trunk for it to work. The prompt is cflp

but it is not prompted when creating the mus trunk...I will try with NT8D14 card to see

If you have broadcast (BDCT = YES) you not need a conference loop ....

Meridian, Callpilot, CCM (Symposium) from Germany

Do you have any conference loops programmed in the system? If you don't then you will need to build one to get the cflp prompt.

@KCFLHRC you can set bdct to yes only you have licenses.

@Optman have you checked the cable ?

Meridian, Callpilot, CCM (Symposium) from Germany

yes I have check for the cable and it is good.

when I call through ACOD of Music rdb on the sametime I stat the mus trunk but it stay idle...!!

NTCK16 Generic Central Office Trunk Card
Supports up to eight analog Central Office trunks. It has eight units and does
the following:
• supports the North American loss plan
• supports loop start signaling
• supports busy tone detection and supervision on a per unit basis.
• supports battery reversal detection
• provides 4 dB dynamic attenuation pads on a per call basis
• allows individual units or the entire board to be disabled by software
• provides software-selectable A-Law or μ-Law companding
• indicates self-test status during an automatic or manual self-test
• provides card identification for auto-configuration and for determining
the serial number and firmware level of the card
• converts transmission signals from analog to digital and from digital to
analog
• provides termination and transhybrid balance impedance to match
600 ohms
The Generic Central Office Trunk card comes in two versions: Ax and Bx.
The NTCK16Ax card supports internal 12/16 kHz PPM; the NTCK16Bx card
does not.
The NTCK16BE Generic Central Office Trunk cards are used in the
following countries:
• Bahrain
• Caribbean and Latin American (CALA) countries
• Egypt
• Indonesia
• Korea
• Kuwait
• Lebanon
• Pakistan
• Portugal
• Singapore
• Taiwan
• Thailand
• Turkey

It's a phone system, NOT a clock!

thanks, I have tried to configure the music on other card (NT8D14)

but with the same issue..no music played..!!!
