Could anyone help me setting up a hunt group to play MoH while the callers wait to be answered? Currently when a caller enters a hunt group they hear alert ringing rather than MoH, I have the source set correctly but I'm wondering if I need to configure how the Hunt Group alerts the members of the group to get callers to hear MoH.

I have an IPO 500 running 4.2(17) and Manager 6.2(17) and have Voicemail Pro. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if this will hep you - but this is how I have it configured. In Annoucments I have "Wait before first ring" set to 0, when I had that set higher there was a ring sound played to my clients. As for the huntgroup itself I have my "Ring Mode" set to Collective Call Waiting - not sure if that has any affect, but it may. this way my callers never hear a ring - just MoH and then an agent.

Hey Tom, Thanks for the advice. That configuration works well however I do not want the callers to hear the system prompt informing callers of the busy operator status. If there is a way to disable that portion of the announcement then this would be perfect. I'd prefer to simply record my own message to the callers on the transfer action in Voicemail Pro. Alternatively I could probably replace that system .WAV file with my own recording but I feel like that's sloppy and would rather not take that route if it can be avoided.

You can edit that message
Go in to your vmpro and go to the group
Add a queue and perhaps the still queue
Add a generic action to it and record a greeting

Then you will not hear the default announcement
If you do not want an announcement at all then do the same but do not record a greeting but just add one
Browse in the "wavs" folder to mc_01
This will add one second of silence
You need to have a wav file uploaded to the ipoffice or have an external moh source
Go back to manager and look in the announcement tab to see if it has ringing or moh selected

To disable the IP Office lady from speaking the easiest way is to go into VM Pro and under the default start points for Queued & Still Queued just add a Disconnect and connect that start point to the disconnect. This will disable the standard greeting and just put your callers in queue with no announcement. If you want as the last post said you can then add voiceprompts from the general action.

Or you could use an assisted transfer from VM PRO to your group.

i.e. DDI -> Module doing assisted transfer -> goup

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Thanks everyone for the tips and suggestions. Actually, a combination of Tomdefoe's and Tlpeter's suggestions worked perfectly for what I needed to accomplish.

I ended up recording the desired message into a generic action under the Queued start point for the group and then after realizing how it all works I recorded a further message into the StillQueued Start Point as per Tlpeter's recommendation.

Thanks again to everyone for your helpful advice.
