Hello - A buddy of mine owns a car dealership and says they use to have Music on Hold at one point. I found a wire pair on a block labeled MOH which was connected to a 1/8" mini plug.

What type of input is this most likely looking for, a line level output or an amplified source. I hooked up a line level output to it, but it is not really loud/clear. I hesitate sending any type of amplified signal in without a better understanding.

Thanks

amplified - try using an mp3 or cd player

Funny as I thought CDs put out line-level signals?

Something to note (I can laugh about it now) has to do with M-O-H. I was connected to a foreign conference bridge (someone else was host it). Someone came into my office office and wouldn't go away despite the evil growl I gave them. They were determined to talk to me so, I put my phone on hold. I think this then piped my M-O-H into the bridge. You might remind your users about this potential hiccup.

But then again, if the conference is boring and/or someone won't stop talking maybe you can use this technique to end the conference -or- throw them off track long enough to get a word in edgewise.
