Is it possible to have two seperate sources for Music On Hold? Our current MOH source interplays promotional material with music, however, we do not want calls to our collections department to listen to the promos when they are placed on hold; those callers should just have plain music.

Any ideas?

Yes, it’s possible. I have a G3rV8.2 setup with 30 music sources. I use only three of them. One for the regular University Faculty/ Staff, one for the football staff and one for the baseball staff. The trick to this is assigning the music sources to different tenants.
Tenant 1 is Faculty/ Staff Music Source 1
Tenant 2 Football Music Source 2
Tenant 3 Baseball Music Source 3
And so on.
Then, all you have to do is change the tenant number on the specific phones on page 1 of the set.
It's been a while since I set this up from start to finish but, I'll be glad to help you in any way.

Thanks for the information! I've found an entire section on Tenant Partitioning in the Administration manual. I'll give that a run-through and will post back if I need additional information to pull me over the rough spots.

we are having 4 CD players running for MoH, for four different campaigns. We do have digital MP3 players also for this purpose. Now the problem is CD players, since running for 24hrs. are prone to wear and tear, and stops often. Mp3 players are good and cost is the constraint, it's not feasible to buy 4 digital Mp3 players.

Is there any other way like playing from definity itself or some other reliable source.? We've Def. G3si 8.2.

Any help will be highly appreciated!

Definityuser; not on your release..
If you were V9 or up you could use a VAL board,
but the cost would be way higher.
another alternative is to use a few written off PC's with winamp or some other MP3 player software...
The cost of a Harddisk based MP3 player nowadays should not be much more that that of a good multi-CD player..

How do I connect the digital player to the G3Si? Di I need an auxillary bosrd?

You can connect the audio directly to an analog port.
Others may tell you otherwise, but it works just fine.
