Hi there,

On a 5.5 system I am looking to get music on hold to play to people queuing at an ACD group.

The problem is I dont have a Miran card so cant set up any RAN announcement routes and I think the deal is you have to play a first RAN announcement before the music will kick in.

I have searched through the forums and others have had the same problem but no solutions.

Calls are going to be blind transferred to this ACD group via an auto attendant or via switchboard so I was thinking is there any way I can change what callers get when being transferred from ring back tone to music on hold?

Also is there any way of getting a callpilot to play announcements with a basic ACD setup. I know you used to be able to overflow it to the acd of a meridian mail but now that callpilot uses CDN this is not possible. If I could overflow it to a callpilot announcement the callers will loose their place in the queue but they would still be happier than just ring back tone.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yes, you can play music on transfer. You can hit CP first, then go to the Queue via SDN - Appbuilder.

Mus on xfer - that's assuming you have a music route and these packages:

EMUS 119
MUS 44
RAN 7

Thanks for your help. I will check the packages.

Is there any special parameters I need to change to enable it to play music on hold when being blind transferred?

I need to double check this when im next onsite but I think at the moment callers put on hold hear music but callers who are blind transferred to the ACD get ring back tone.

I read in the features manual for Enhanced music - Call Transfer

"The held party receives Music when the other party presses the Call Transfer key. The Music connection remains until the Call Transfer key or DN key is pressed, ending the Consultation Hold state"

I would have though this means the caller would get music until switchboard completes the blind transfer and the caller would then get ring back tone until the extension it has been blind transferred to answers.

ld 15 CDB FTR should be all you need to chg if you have mus on the routes and a mus ran route
