Has anyone implemented the Multitech FaxFinder FF200 with a Definity G3r? I am looking to see if it is a product we should install and how easy was the installation? I also would like to know if the product is stable. Thanks for any assistance.

We are thinking of implementing the Faxfinder solution on our Avaya pbx. Were you able to implement yours? If so, how is it working? Thanks....

I have a Fax Finder(Not sure of Model number) on analog ports off of IP Office and it works great. Dont know how you want it on the Definity but for the fax finder it is stable and very easy to set up.

We've setup a couple for clients with S Series servers and have been happy with them. I would recommend a power cycle once a month or so however...

I know I have installed the 4 port faxfinder and multitech support has a config guide for the ip office, definity, magix.

I found a doc for IP Office but not Definity. Anyone have one?

My plan would be to take existing DID's comming down my PRI and direct them to the FaxFinder and have them delivered to a users email.

I have no clue how to set this up on my switch so any advice or direct on how to do this would be great.

Thanks.

I have not set this up on the Definity side but It seems very much like the IPO. You would connect the fax finder to analog ports with caller Id enabled. Then put the ports into a Hunt group. Take your DID's and forward them to the hunt group. you would need a DID for each user or 1 did and then someone has to figure out who to send them to. on the IPO we wned the caller Id as DTMFF and it passes the DID info into the fax finder. Then build the fax finder to match. THere may be a different way to do it on the definity that someone else may know.

Well, since I posted this, I have figured it out. It's very simple so I will share.

First, connect the FaxFinder to analog ports on your switch. Program the extensions as VMI type. Create a hunt group and place them in the group. Create a Cover path that rolls over to the hunt group.

Create extensions in your switch that match the DID you want to use and use the newly created cover path.

In the FaxFinder, set the routing type to "Avaya Mode Code" and your good to go.

Sorry I did see this post sooner estermer. I did this about a month ago with your exact model. You did it exactly how I would have set it up. Just an added note though if anyone can't add a station as VMI type then you need to turn on the Mode Code Interface in your System Features.

By the way, love the FaxFinder. Our Intuity wasn't cutting it on the faxing front. This thing does the job and gives an audit trail. Great product!
