Have just installed IPO500V2 s/w 7.0.12 and VMPro 7.0.19 on Windows 7 machine. VMpro all working ok but I’m getting constant email notifications once a message has been left. SMTP set up

I have run debug and getting a message can not connect to on port 25 but the email is sent, not on site at present so cannot give exact wordings from debug but can post them tomorrow.

I did find an old thread very close to the issue I’m having but he was getting two emails for every VM left, I have pasted his log here. The top two lines I’m sure is what I’m getting on site.

03/03/2011 10:40:34.687 - Attempting to connect to host xxxxxxxxxx.com on port 25, local bound address is (null)
03/03/2011 10:40:35.640 - CSMTPConnection::Connect: Could not connect to the SMTP server xxxxxxxxxx.com on port 25. Error 10061 [0x274d] (No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)
03/03/2011 10:40:35.734 - Attempting to connect to host 192.168.3.5 on port 25, local bound address is (null)
03/03/2011 10:40:35.843 - Successfully connected to host 192.168.3.5 on port 25

Have tried using both customers SMTP server and external server and the outcome is the same.

Has anyone got any ideas I think the VM thinks the email has not been sent so just keeps trying hence the multiple emails. I can send an email from the VM pc using the telnet commands.

When I go to control panel and open VMpro I do get the response no program associated with this action but opens up and when I test the check settings it fails.

Thanks in advance

Make sure that SMTP is set up exactly the same in both VMPro and Manager. I believe that if there is a letter off this problem will occur.

Have you tried 7.0.17? If you're sure your SMTP settings are correct, ditch .19, it's a train wreck.

Thanks for the replies, On monday I restarted the VM machine and went to get traces for the support company and all was working fine with voicemail to email. Just hope issue does not raise it's head again.
