Multiple WorkSHEETS in one Excel File to one pdf

I have had occasions where I need to create a single pdf file of multiple pages of an Excel Spreadsheet. For some spreadsheets, merely highlighting each tab and printing to Distiller does the trick. There are other spreadsheets, however, that only permit the creation of individual pdf files. Yes, I know I can pull all of the individual ones together using Acrobat, but does anyone know why some spreadsheets permit multiple worksheet pdf's while others do not?

This happens on both XP and 98 machines. Excel 97. Acrobat 6.0.

From the print menu under excel options are you selecting selection or entire workbook?

Thanks dmacster for the reply. Yes, the entire workbook is selected. It would seem this issue may be with Excel and not Acrobat, as there are other workbooks that I have that permit the multiple tab printing without a problem.
