Multiple Word document printing problem

I'm calling word via VB6 to open- print -close (wo saving)
multiple ( 100 or so + )documents. My problem is if the printer has to wake up the program stalls, Is there a way o push the document into a spool. I've experimented with
objWord.BackgroundPrintingStatus but only manage to make things worse. Any ideas?
