multiple values in detail section into one group level field 2

Is there anyway to concatenate multiple values on a field in the detail section of a report into one field either at the group section level.

example need to turn

group level 1
fielda fieldb fieldc fielde fieldf fieldg fieldh
detail section
fieldd1
fieldd2
fieldd3
fieldd4

into

group level 1
fielda fieldb fieldc fieldd fielde fieldf fieldg fieldh

where fieldd contains fielddd1 & fieldd2 & fieldd3 & fieldd4

is this posible within crystal reports version 8.5?

Option 1: use a detail section formula to concatanate the values into a string variable. Then, use a Group Footer section to show the string ariable. Use a Group Header formula to reset it.

Option 2: if you must show the string in the Group Header, use a subreport placed there to achieve the same result.
